NEW WEBSITE COMING SOON
Our volunteers support the community by sharing information on local history, assisting with family history research, and carrying out further research using Local, State, and Federal Government archives.
The Society also serves as a repository for local organisations, preserving their archives in our archive room. These collections are available for the community to access. To view our archives, please book a visit during our open hours on the first Saturday of each month (except January) from 2–4pm. If you would like to visit outside these times, you can email us to arrange an appointment with one of our volunteers.
We are located in the historic Chermside State School building, part of the Chermside Historical Precinct, at 61 Kittyhawk Drive, Chermside. Member meetings are held on the first Sunday of each month (except January) at 2pm, and committee meetings take place on the third Thursday of the month.
We would love you to share your local stories, family history and documentary material with us to include in our archives. If you would like to share your history, please email us at chermsidedhs@gmail.com. Together, we can continue to tell Chermside and our district’s amazing stories for future generations.
